Shipping & Delivery FAQ's

How do I track my order?

Can I collect my order from your Hornsby boutique?

Yes of course! Please select the "Collect from Boutique" shipping option in the checkout.

My tracking says my order was delivered but I don't have it, what do I do?

Firstly, double check your letterbox and any other locate to see if a delivery slip was left. If there isn't a delivery slip, please contact our team to follow up with AusPost or FedEx.

Do I need to be home when my delivery arrives?

All of our parcels require a signature on delivery, if you are not home when they attempt a delivery, they will go to your local post office and be held until you can collect in person.

For International parcels FedEx will leave a card to organise re-delivery if no one is home.

How will I know my order has been shipped?

As soon as your order has been shipped you will be emailed the tracking number.

Do you ship your jewellery interstate and internationally?

Yes we do. We have customers from all over Australia and the world. If you are unable to find the correct shipping option please contact us directly at hello@megmaskell.com.au and our team can assist.

I need my order urgently; can you get it to me sooner?

For any urgent pieces, please contact our team directly on 02 9477 4631 or hello@megmaskell.com.au and we will try to assist as best we can.

When will I get my order?

We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

How much does shipping cost?

For Australian customers all orders over $200.00 come with free express post with signature on delivery.

For International orders the shipping costs will display at the checkout page before proceeding. Please note for international orders duties, taxes and tariffs are not included in the sale price.

Manufacturing, Metals & Gemstone FAQ'S

Are your diamonds and coloured gemstones ethically sourced?

Yes, we only use ethically sourced Gemstones and Diamonds in our pieces. Having built up a network of trusted suppliers both locally and overseas, ranging from local miners through to international diamond merchants, we only purchase from suppliers that share our values in ensuring the stones are ethically sourced.

Is your Sterling Silver nickel free?

Yes, we use 925 Nickel free Sterling Silver.

Are your pieces gold or silver plated?

No, all of our pieces are crafted with solid Gold, Platinum or Sterling Silver.

What materials do you make all of your pieces with?

All Meg Maskell Fine Jewellery pieces are made with solid precious metals sourced from Australian Suppliers.

Australian gold standards are 9ct/375 and 18ct/750, these are available in Yellow, Rose or White gold. Both our 9ct and 18ct White golds are high platinum content, giving them a high white colour finish. All of our White gold pieces are also Rhodium plated.

We also work with Platinum and 14ct/585 on request. Our Silver pieces are made with Nickel free Sterling Silver/925.

Where are all of your pieces made?

All of our pieces are made right in Australia at the Meg Maskell Fine Jewellery workshop, behind our boutique.

The product I want to order is sold out online, can you still create this piece for me?

A lot of our pieces are custom crafted, if the piece you are looking for is sold out online, place an enquiry through the website, or send us an email at hello@megmaskell.com.au and we can discuss the options of re-creating the piece for you.

Do you work with loose gemstones that I already have?

After inspection and approval by the MMFJ team, we may be able to work with your special inherited heirloom gemstones from an existing piece. We work on a case by case basis with this.

We do not work with heirloom Opals or Emeralds, as both of those gemstones are quite fragile. We also do not work with newly purchased loose gemstones.

General FAQ'S

How do i size my finger?

If you are local to our Hornsby Boutique, feel free to drop in an we can assist with sizing. Alternatively, if you live a little far away, check out our Ring Sizing page, or you can purchase a Ring Sizer to confirm your size at home.

Do you offer Gift cards?

Yes, we offer both Digital and Physical gift card options.

The Digital Gift cards are delivered by email and our Physical Gift cards will be sent to you via express post, both gift cards can be redeemed online or in store at the MM Boutique.

The product I want to order is sold out online, can you still create this piece for me?

A lot of our pieces are custom crafted, if the piece you are looking for is sold out online, place an enquiry through the website, or send us an email at hello@megmaskell.com.au and we can discuss the options of re-creating the piece for you.

Can I place an order over the phone?

Yes absolutely! Feel free to call us during business hours to arrange your order. Check out our Contact Us page to find our details.

Can I visit your boutique to view your pieces?

Yes of course! We always welcome customers into our Hornsby boutique to view our pieces in person. Our address is 14 Coronation Street, Hornsby NSW.

How do I clean my jewellery?

For an easy at home clean we recommend warm soapy water and a toothbrush. For more information on how to care for you jewellery, check out our Jewellery Care page.
We also highly recommend booking a yearly check, clean and polish done by the MMFJ team. This is a complimentary service we offer on any MMFJ piece.

How long does it take to craft a bespoke piece?

Our turnaround time can vary depending on a number of factors, but our typical turnaround time is between 10-12 weeks once the perfect gemstone is chosen and the final design has been confirmed.

If we need to source a gemstone that is not in stock this can add extra time to the overall turnaround.

Do i need to make an appointment to discuss a custom piece?

Yes, in order to dedicate the time needed for an in-depth discussion on all custom designed pieces, you will need to book a Custom Meeting through our bookings page.

What is the return policy?

All Meg Maskell Fine Jewellery pieces are made to order, therefore exchanges or returns are not offered for change of mind.

I have lost an earring back, can you replace it?

Yes, you can order a replacement earring back through our website.
